Cycas circinalis, also known as the queen sago or sago palm, is a species of cycad native to southern India and Sri Lanka. It is an evergreen shrub that can grow up to 6 meters tall and can tolerate full sun or shade. It is found in dense, dry, scrubby woodlands in hilly areas in the states of Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and the south of Maharashtra
