Context: Kerala Agricultural University has been notified as a centre of the Protection of Plant Varieties and Farmers’ Rights Authority under the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare.
Objective: To protect the rights of Kerala farming communities over the traditional plant varieties.
