QUIZ – 2016: Insights Current Affairs Quiz
03 September, 2016
Clarifications:
Q4, September 1st Quiz (Click Here): The Ganges dolphin is not completely blind. Refer to paragraph 1 (which mentions, “limited eyesight”) and 3 (which mentions that “it still uses its eye to locate itself”) in the explanation. Paragraph 2 explains how the dolphin manages with poor eyesight (although its mention of “lost its eyes in the course of evolution to adapt to the muddy water of rivers” is slightly misleading because it hasn’t lost its eyes! Its eyesight is very poor, and it still has its eyes, see any image of the Ganges dolphin.)
Q7, September 1st Quiz (Click Here): None of the options are correct. The correct answer was supposed to be option ‘b’, but we made a mistake while framing the statement. The statement should have been “Study all types of gaps in fencing and all other vulnerabilities along the India-Pakistan border” rather than, “along the international border” as was mentioned. Option ‘a’ is incorrect because the committee was mandated not “only” for studying all types of gaps and suggesting comprehensive approaches to fix gaps in fencing, but also to address vulnerabilities other than gaps in border fencing along India-Pakistan border.
