9) Your friend who is preparing for civil services exam keeps telling you that corruption has become an integral part of Indian society and no measures taken by politicians can neither reduce nor eliminate it. He is disturbed by corruption scandals about which articles appear every day in newspapers. He believes that he can fight corruption only through violence i.e. by punishing corrupt officials and politicians in public by pelting stones at them. He tells you that if he becomes a civil servant, he would secretly pass information to radical youth groups about corrupt officials and encourage them to take action against such officials by catching them red-handed. He believes that law, police and courts are inefficient in fighting corruption. He says that police and courts are more corrupt than they appear.
