What makes people tick in this exam? What is that secret which makes some people succeed and some people miss out? Is it intelligence? Good looks? Superior communication skills? Good Handwriting? Better present-ability? Great influence? Knowing some people in the UPSC office? Well! I guess we can go on giving a lot of reasons here but we all know what that one secret is which makes people tick. You got it right, it is you, your spirit and how good you are in bringing out all you got!
We have very often heard a lot of reasons from a lot of seniors, professors, some disappointed souls including me which break down to point out some reasons as to why things cannot work. Well, they all maybe right in their own ways and those may be the exact reasons as to why it did not work for them. But that is not going to cut it for you. There might be a thousand reasons as to why something might not work, but if there is that one reason as to why it can – you got yourself a dream. You got to protect it. It doesn’t take extraordinary skills to clear this exam but it does take that extraordinary perseverance, that belief in yourself that you can do it and that is going to take you the distance. You can either sit down and make a list of things as to why and what or you can just look at that one reason and try to make the others work. The choice as always is in your hands!
