People are always blaming their circumstances for what they are. I don’t believe in circumstances. The people who get on in this world are the people who get up and look for the circumstances they want, and if they can’t find them, make them
– George Bernard Shaw
What are the circumstances that would work best for you? What are the circumstances that hold you back? What are the ones that keep pushing you forward? I am sure the answers for these questions would be as diverse as possible and equally challenging in many fronts and very well justified as well.
But something I guess that keeps ringing on my mind is that, it doesn’t matter, nothing ever does. Circumstances account to only about 10% of what a person is and his chances at reaching his goal. But what is it that matters more than that? Something that is under your complete control, something you can make work in your favour if you want to? That’s right! I am talking about you, the way you look at these situations. (Tougher challenges make you better) You can always look at the challenges and feel bad as to how daunting they are, or you can look at them in the eye and say it is something you would love winning over. You have a lovely platform to prove yourself a lot of things, let reasons not be one of them, you are after what you want and reasons are just the ones we give when we give up!
