Don’t waste life in doubts and fears; spend yourself on the work before you, well assured that the right performance of this hour’s duties will be the best preparation for the hours and ages that will follow it.
-Ralph Waldo Emerson
What are the doubts you have about the exam? What are your fears? How strong are they? How much are they motivating you? How much are they demotivating you? I think we can go on asking questions like this reaping different answers at the same time and trying to wonder why the questions started in the first place. Fact is, there will be no end to these questions.
Doubts are very powerful emotions; they are there to ensure that you are giving your 100% to make your dreams come true. We are not going to stand up here and say that you should never have any doubts at all, cos we do agree than no matter what we say that there will be doubts about a lot of things. The real question is – How do we handle them? Do we let them take control of us and be bogged down or do we stand up to those and say – Wait, this is not something which is going to decide about my chances in the exam. These doubts are just pointers, as long as they are making me work towards the goal in a constructive way, the fears, doubts have a standing. But, the moment when they start acting against you, I think that is when you have to take the call and say ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. A doubt is not the driving force, it is a checkpoint which needs to be answered and we move on from that. The best thing to do is try and look at the larger picture and try to answer those very questions which matter and make a difference than casting doubt on the very energy which drives you and makes you do what you do best.
